Our Mission
Established in 2009, Elevated Legacy Inc. is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works with children of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds following them through their maturation from 4th grade through high school graduation. Our goal is for all youth members to achieve their highest potential as a student, an athlete and as a human being.
ELEVATED LEGACY is the organization’s AAU Basketball Club. Our focus extends beyond competitive athletics as we strive to provide a safe environment where youth members can :-express their love, fears and aspirations;-learn to manage adversity, stress and peer-pressure;- develop a global consciousness and - hone the skills needed for successful and fullfilling lives.
Our COACHES
Corey Crutcher
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, Coach Corey developed an enthusiasm for the game of basketball at an early age. He went on to follow in his brother's footsteps, becoming a standout at East Kentwood High School in football, basketball, and track & field. Coach Corey extended his efforts into community outreach and youth development while earning a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Michigan State University.He has since coached and athletically developed youth of all ages in Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and currently in Oakland, CA where he serves as an advocate to foster and probation youth. As a coach to the Elevated Legacy team, Coach Corey is excited to empower young athletes as they elevate to their potential!
Christopher Pearson
Chris is one of the founding coaches of Elevated Legacy. Chris is fascinated by the process of maximizing human potential. In addition to more than 20 years coaching basketball Chris has work experiences ranging from diversity equity & inclusion facilitator to orthopedic acupuncturist and draws insight from many modalities; Self Mastery, Biomechanics, Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Bodywork and mind-body-spirit counseling.
